Jake, Wizard IV
Steven ‘Jake’ Jacobs is an accomplished scientist, educator, author, and media personality. He has built his career on a lifetime of making science fun and accessible. Jake holds advanced degrees in mathematics and chemistry, he’s a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Great Britain, and a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemists. Beginning with his time working on Mr. Wizard’s World Jake has cultivated a long list of science consulting clients including Discovery Channel, Disney, National Public Radio (NPR), the Smithsonian, PBS, Nickelodeon, Paramount Television and FOX Television. Besides consulting work, Jake was also the creator of and on-air host for the FOX Television show ‘Jake’s Attic.’
Besides his television work Jake also has 15 years of education experience in the classroom and in administration. He’s served as Director of Science Education at Children’s Museum of Wichita & Mr. Wizard Studio, Hollywood. He has created educational games and toys for Discovery Channel, Toys-R-Us, Play-Tech & The Nature Co. And when he’s not educating or creating Jake enjoys judging contests like Discover Educational 3M Young Scientist Challenge.
Jake has held the title of Wizard IV since 1995 when Mr. Wizard (Wizard III) passed the title on to him at the Royal Institution of Great Britain. He serves as Midnight Science Club’s Chief Scientist.

Nick Householder
Nick kicked off his career in science communication as the co-host and lead builder of the Science Channel series ‘Street Science,’ where he was able to use his aerospace engineering background and communication skills to share scientific concepts using examples anyone could understand. Since October 2017, Nick has been the principal science consultant for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, working with the team at NBC to design and build science demonstrations which resident science expert Kevin Delaney uses to entertain and educate the Tonight Show audience.
Before his time in television, Nick spent five years working as a civilian in the U.S. Air Force, where he was a 'Weapons Test Engineer' - designing, planning, and executing complex weapon tests.
At Midnight Science Club, Nick serves as the Director of Operations.
